Stamp collecting, my hobby since I was seven

Stamp collecting I find really interesting as I get to learn about each country where the stamps come from. I collect stamps from all the countries so I don't limit to any specific countries.

I think that stamps are small work of art and its very satisfying to look at, organize and see which ones I have in the collection or the ones I am so far missing. Also sometime you can find a rare stamp of some value so it makes it become like a treasure hunt.

I believe I will never get the chance to travel there but I can see a country through its stamps

Niger is named after the river Niger that is in the west part of the country. It was a french colony until 1960 when it became independent.

The capital is called Niamey and a very large part of the country is in the Sahara.

Most of the population is Muslim. The country is since 2023 controlled by a military junta.

The country is among one of the poorest in the world.
