May has been again not a very good month for several reasons, at least the worst of the coughing is gone.
In May we had the inspection of both cars. The oldest one needed some extra repairs to be approved so the car costs were extra high this month.
Also we changed the drainpipes on our house. They had been the same since the house was built in 1974. Here in Sweden we know get a 50% discount on the work done by contractors, but still the total for that was around 20000 gold.
Also gave some money to my sons and very high food costs and costs for the travel we are about to make made May a very expensive month.
Filling the treasure targets
I really like dividend income as it feels nice to get extra gold income often. Lowest loot from dividends last 6 moths was 6268 gold (December 2024). Target is 5000 so ok
May added 26907 coins (Previous month was 66591).
New investments was 40737 coins (Previous month 28098). Target is 15000 so it was ok. Markets feel high but I don't know how it will go.
Gold in the reserve coffer: Target is 200000 currently 179 000 (previous month 174 000), still being built up so not reached yet. I have borrowed some of it to my father though, I don't think I will get it back so lets see.
Saving is the difference between income and spending for me and my wife. As income we have two salaries (I work 100% and my wife 50%) and dividends from shares. Target was 50% saving and actual result was 14,7% so it was far from ok. It was a really really expensive month though. I hope there will not be many of those in the future.
Health:
With good weather I have walked a lot, I try to walk each day. My normal walk takes around 75 minutes and is near the area where I live.
This sunday my wife and I will travel to meet her family in Italy. The boys are staying home with their girlfriends. I hope I can rest and walk a lot also in Italy.
My eye sight is troubling me. I need to take the eye drops and keep better control of that.
